Meeting the needs of people with autism
The Autism Center at Ontario ARC opened its doors in April 2011 to meet the growing demand for services and supports to assist children, teenagers and adults with autism spectrum disorders. It is a centralized, regional clearinghouse for information sharing, referral and services.
Located within the agency’s Main Facility, The Autism Center coordinates all of the agency’s autism and clinical services, including play therapy, social skills groups, and recreation and respite services for children. In addition, it is home to the respite room and the Resource Library, which features a wide catalog of books, DVDs and informative journals about autism spectrum disorders.
